Abilities

Ada has perfect pitch. Her favourite instrument is the piano, but she is capable of playing the violin and the flute.

Powers

Blessed - or cursed with unstable psychic powers, Ada is capable of limited telekinesis, and the occasional vaguely prophetic dream. Most of the time, her powers manifest as a 'bad feeling'. When she experiences strong emotions, she blows things up with her powers, somewhat like her mother.

Oberon (older brother): Oberon, without a doubt, is the immediate family member she's closest with. They spend most of their time in proximity to one another, her reading off to the side while he studies and manages the monetary affairs of their father. She thinks he's too pessimistic, and needs some light and love in his life, like the brooding love interests in her novels. Obviously, all he needs is the right heroine to come along and capture his attention. Unfortunately, with her illness, she hasn't been making much progress along that front.

Laelia (younger sister): Laelia supplanted Ada's role as the baby in the family, and she's never forgiven her for it. In some respects, Ada is envious of Laelia's irrepressed freedom and glowing health. In others, she feels like Laelia is out to get her, because she keeps tricking her and laughing at her for it. Oftentimes, she'll think of Laelia as the foolish sister or the untrustworthy friend that so often shows up in regency novels. All this to say, they don't get along very well.

Pokémon

Ada has her mother's last name; she's designated heir to her mother's familial wealth. This is because of her evident psychic powers - the other members of the family demanded that the heirship pass to her. It doesn't affect her life very much, since her mother remains in charge of the estate. She tries not to think of it.

Ada is incredibly gullible. Tell her about ghosts or aliens and she'll eat that right up. Her younger sister often takes advantage of this.

On bad days, she has terrible blinding migraines and anxious nervous breakdowns. On those days, she rarely ventures out from her room.
