Chicory is the sole son of Morgan and Siebold. He's an apprentice chef studying under his father, and unlike both his parents, has zero interest in battling. Morgan is thoroughly exasperated with him because she'd like him to take over the Battle Maison at some point, but it looks like that's unlikely to happen.
His happy place is cooking in the kitchen, or strolling around in the farmer's market.

NAME:
Emmy: Chicory first befriended Emmy when they were both trying to steal food from the storeroom of the Battle Maison kitchen. Chicory decided to share his food, and they became fast friends. Chicory trusts Emmy's tastebuds, and she is his official test taster.
Aline: Chicory befriended Aline next; Emmy's best friend, and persuaded her not to steal electricity from the Battle Maison kitchen by bribing her with food. Aline is enthusiastic and chirpy, and will power up any of Chicory's equipment that needs electricity.
Marron: Received from Professor Sycamore on Chicory's tenth birthday, Marron is technically Chicory's starter, as he is the first to be registered to his Trainer ID. Marron feels this responsibility keenly, and tries to be Chicory's right hand when he needs it. This means he has a rivalry going on with Emmy. In response, Emmy and Aline will occasionally gang up on him.
Mimi: An often sleepy Slugma, she is most often found dozing in the fire stoves of the Battle Maison kitchen. She carefully controls the heat of the stove when Chicory needs it, and will curl up next to whatever he puts into the oven.
Chicory is a perennial, herbacious plant, the entirety of which is edible. Its leaves are cultivated for salads, and a sweetener can be extracted from its roots. In various parts of the world, ground chicory root can be added to coffee, or can be a cheaper coffee substitute. It is a particular specialty in the north of France.
The Leroux chicory company is the world's leading producer of chicory coffee.
Key Stone: His Key Stone, set into his chef's neckerchief, is a gift from his mother, Morgan, who hoped that her son would be encouraged to use it in battles.
