Can run in high heels. Always seems to have something useful in her pockets.
Augustine (father): She gets her curiosity from him. The person with the most patience to answer Thea's endless 'Why?' questions. Probably her favourite parent.
Diantha (mother): Keeps her mother appraised of all the latest news, even though Diantha doesn't need to know all of it. Diantha's somewhat exasperated with her at times, because she has a tendency to run her mouth and put her in awkward situations.
Lysandre (father): She gets away with the most with him. Faced with her energy, Lysandre is too tired to redirect what he feels is mostly harmless kid antics and gives in.
Vervain (younger brother): Vervain's too dull and proper to have much fun with. Despite that, she would still get into a fistfight for him.
Bel (girlfriend): Childhood frenemies that have really known each other since they were very little; Malva is very much in her parents' circle of close friends. Thea's insistence on honesty and openness seems to run counter to Bel's ambitions and rise to prominence in the running of Lysandre Labs, which leads to notoriously nonstop bickering in a mutual case of pulling on pigtails. But when Lysandre Labs is faced with an inside threat, they team up and out the wrongdoers, while complaining about each other's methods. At the end, it all works out, and they resolve to try listening to each other more and patch things up.
Alexa (mentor): Alexa is Thea's role model, and she's very honoured to have landed an internship under her. Alexa is the one who points out that while people will say they don't care, appearances do matter very much in the business, which leads to Thea's haircut and an attempt to temper her exuberance. As a result, she gains a lot of maturity in this time under her wing.
When she was younger, Thea had no problem in leaning on or whipping out her identity as her parents' daughter to get into places she normally wouldn't get into. This could sometimes cause much exasperation, as word got back to them about various incidents.
Forsythia is the name of a genus of flowering shrubs that are known for flowering very early in spring. Often, their blossoms are yellow. In the Victorian flower language, forsythias symbolize anticipation.
Thea has her mother's last name, Élysées. It's from the really catchy song that they teach young children in French class, Les Champs-Elysées, and of course, the actual avenue in Paris that the song is referring to. Translated, it is the Elysian Fields, the portion of the Greek Underworld where heroes would go after death.
Notebook: Thea's trusty notebook! She keeps all her notes in it.
