Sophia was raised with the idea of Lordship - with no younger brothers at the time, she expected to find herself in her role at the helm of House Prometheus, and molded herself accordingly. She defends her position aggressively, especially against those who have more old-fashioned notions about the image of a traditional heir.
Sharp and witty, Sophie strives to be as socially savvy as Lady Andromeda, who she looks up to greatly. While she fails to capture Andromeda’s way of putting people at ease, she more than makes up for it in her intuition - she reads people very well and often asks the right questions or presses upon the right pressure point of attack. This makes her a force to be reckoned with in the political arena.
Well practiced at not letting emotions show on her face, Sophia sometimes forgets that not everyone is accustomed to masking their reactions, or underhanded jabs that double as teasing. Often mistaken as cold-hearted and emotionless among those outside of her immediate circle, she is trying to befriend more people of her age range in the city to get over her discomfort.
Determined and driven, Sophia seeks to further her ambitions regarding her vision of the future of House Prometheus in the modern era.
As the oldest of her siblings, Lord and Lady Prometheus took particular interest in Sophia's upbringing and education. Taken under Andromeda's wing, Sophia learns House politics at Andromeda's knee.
As a result, most of the time she's spent with people has been within House Prometheus. In recent years, she's realized that this is a weakness of hers, and has endeavoured to make friends outside of House Prometheus' circle. It's slow work, but she thinks she's making progress.
Sophia is an adept empath, able to sense, and on a surface level, influence the emotions of those around her. This is exceptionally useful for her, as it allows her to easily read a room, or an individual. She is also quite good at telepathy, although it is a much less used skill. She uses it to secretly communicate with those around her, although she has a limited range, which makes it less useful.
Empath: Sophia is an excellent empath, able to read a room at a glance. Occasionally, strong emotions from other people may overwhelm her, although she keeps tight mental shields. She is capable of projecting emotions as well, but rarely does so because of ethical reasons, and because the people that often wishes to use the ability on are not susceptible to the power.
Telepathy: Useful in certain situations that call for stealth, but she most frequently uses the ability to communicate with her Pokémon. Although it is more difficult, and she rarely uses the skill, she is able to use it to communicate with those of other affinities.
Felix and Miriel (parents): While Sophia loves them, she’s not very close with her parents. She finds it difficult to connect with and understand them, and their lack of ambition and drive to impact meaningful change. With the birth of her younger brother, she’s only gotten more distant from them, preferring the guidance of Andromeda and Regulus, and the company of her sister, Tanith, and her second cousin, Cassia.
Tanith (younger sister): Sophia is very invested in Tanith’s wellbeing and safety, and was therefore exceptionally concerned when she went missing. Although she had a hard time wrapping her head around the idea at the time, she thinks she understands Tanith’s desire to get away from House politics better at this point, and is somewhat envious of her freedom to explore and see more of the world.
Tiberius (younger brother): Because of the age gap, she finds it difficult to connect with Tiberius. She’ll look after him, like a good older sister, but on some level she’s a little wary of him. Which gets a little better after Moira takes Tiberius as her apprentice - he won’t be able to challenge her for the heirship, but he still makes her uneasy.
Regulus (great-uncle): Sophia’s somewhat bemused by Regulus - how he manages to be so relaxed about things, but she supposes it comes with age and experience. While she’s impressed by how well he manages the House currently, she’s more curious about how he handled the fractures in the House in the past, about which she’s only heard snippets of stories and rumours.
Andromeda (great-aunt): Sophia looks up to Andromeda immensely, as a figure she would like to emulate. She greatly admires Andromeda’s ability to influence and calm people into heading into the direction she’d like them to without being heavy-handed or outwardly manipulative.
Cassia (second cousin): Cassia is a willing and understanding ear to talk to when Sophia needs to complain to someone about House politics. They share a similar sense of humor, sarcastic and sharp, and she finds her a witty conversationalist. Although initially distant and somewhat antagonistic during their childhood years, recent events have come to place them on the same side in regards to Tanith’s safety and wellbeing, and has led to a new understanding between them.
Elle: A shiny Pokémon gifted to Sophia by her great-grandfather for her 10th birthday, Elle is her constant and faithful companion. Dignified and elegant, she quietly supports Sophia behind the scenes. They often converse via telepathy.
Baby: Sophia's spoiled Espeon, Baby is beloved and he knows it. Affectionate and mischievous, he knows which side his bread is buttered on, and is a rascal to everyone else.
Sophia's favourite fabric is velvet. Both her dress and boots are made of the fabric.
The jewelry she wears is a set of garnets. A gift, from her parents.
She can play the cello.
She enjoys milk tea with sugar in the morning with her breakfast, and more milk tea and cookies at tea time.
If she has the time, she'll go to a café, order a drink, and find a seat with a good view of the street and people watch for hours.
Romance novels are a guilty pleasure that she indulges in sometimes - she does her best to keep it hidden from everyone.
