Cordelia was born and raised in Celestic, headstrong and vivacious, the only child of her parents. Setting off on a Pokémon journey, her jovial friendliness led her to eventually travel with two companions - Maelstrom, then called Alastor, and Eltan. However, there was a falling out, and Cordelia eventually returned home, and had a daughter. She died of an unidentified lung illness when Cynthia was seven. Cynthia doesn't remember much about her, besides warm sunlight, bedtime stories, and fields of wildflowers.
Carolina (mother): While they loved each other dearly, they often clashed in ideals. Too similar and stubborn, they would argue fiercely, refusing to back down. Carolina was delighted for Cordelia when she set off on her journey, eagerly awaiting tales of her adventures in the wilds. When Cordelia returned home, her state caused much concern.
Ajax (father): A girl who loved to be outdoors, Ajax often took Cordelia out into the fields and the woods around Celestic Town. Delighted to have someone accompany him on his field expeditions, they were tight-knit.
Cynthia (daughter): Although her body was growing weak during her time with Cynthia, she tried to make her daughter's life as joy-filled as she could, in hopes that it would be these joyful times she remembered, rather than Cordelia's last days. She spent a lot of time with Cynthia, telling her stories and taking her out to see the flowers.
Maelstrom (lover): Cordelia admired Maelstrom's steadfastness and loyalty, and his exuberance in battle. She confided in him often, especially when she and Eltan were on the outs; he was the go in-between, the buffer between both of them. Friendly rivals and teenagers that made profound impacts on each other, they were in a relationship that ended when Cordelia suddenly left the group in the night. Cordelia cut contact, and they never reconnected.
Eltan (ex-friend, rival): Cordelia and Eltan had a rivalry that started out friendly, turned into friendly bickering, and then turned into angry, nasty arguments that Maelstrom tried to defuse. Both were driven and stubborn, believing their viewpoint was correct, which eventually ended up turning the travelling group on its head.
