  • Birthday: November 13th
  • Occupation: Administrator
  • Pronouns: she/her
  • Hometown: Hearthome City, Sinnoh

Jupiter has a sharp tongue and knows how to use it. Brisk and efficient, she values efficiency and organization, and while she's brusque at times, she does care underneath. She dislikes waste and weakness.

Currently, Jupiter runs the administration side of the women's shelter Fantina runs out of the other half of the gym.

Background

Early Childhood

Jupiter grew up with her mother in a single room apartment in Hearthome City. Her father dipped in from time to time to check up on them, but suddenly stopped visiting. Her mother was heartbroken and died soon after, leaving Jupiter alone in the city. Jupiter never forgave her father for breaking her mother's heart and leaving them.

Years later, when Fantina came looking for her father's other family, hoping to bond with her half-sister, Jupiter learned the rest of the tale: her father's wife, Fantina's mother, had discovered the affair and put her foot down, demanding that he cut all contact or divorce her. Fantina offered to put her in contact with their father, that he regretted cutting contact and would love to hear from her, but Jupiter refused, claiming that she had no father. Fantina, put off, offered money, offering to find a nicer apartment, get her into a good school. Jupiter, incensed, sharply refused her charity, threw her offer back in her face, and skipped town with her Stunky.

Team Galactic

Bitterly unhappy with her lot in life, she fell in with a bunch of Team Galactic grunts, and quickly rose through the ranks thanks to her quick and decisive action. She believed in Cyrus' new world, where she would be freed from her anger and frustration.

Abilities

  • Affinity:
  • Powers: Poison Immunity
  • Affiliation: Formerly Team Galactic
  • Weapon: Poison
Abilities

Jupiter's Poison affinity gives her an immunity to poison: an iron stomach, able to choke down any matter of poison without it affecting her. This also means she's unable to get drunk or high, which she found highly unfortunate in her years as a teenaged deliquent. As a result, she's always been the designated driver, the responsible one.

She keeps a mild sedative under her nails.

Relationships

  • Status: Platonic Partnership
  • Best Friend: Mars
  • QPP: Mars
  • Sexuality: Aromantic Bisexual
  • Rival: Mars
  • Godchildren: Phobos, Deimos
Family

Fantina (half-sister): Jupiter's relationship with Fantina had a rocky start, but they get along somewhat better these days. At first, Jupiter resented her, because she got the father in the deal - she got the complete family unit, and left hers to die. She didn't want what she perceived as Fantina's pity, and she certainly didn't want to make up and play happy family. When things with Team Galactic came to an end, Fantina took custody of both her and Mars for their probationary period in Hearthome, and they had some time to sort their issues out with cooler heads. Jupiter is grateful for Fantina's aid, even though she thinks she's a soft touch.

Mars: During her stint at Team Galactic, she found her fellow commander deeply annoying, immature, and irritating. But you don't turn on your allies, so when Mars confided she was pregnant with Saturn's child after their arrest, Jupiter sucked it up and went to Fantina for leniency. Saturn's decision to spend his probationary period in Veilstone with his family and to travel the world looking for Cyrus instead of staying with Mars made Jupiter so furious that she decided right then and there that she'd stick around for Mars instead, and while they still don't get along most of the time, Jupiter doesn't regret making that decision in the slightest.

Phobos (godson): The sweeter of Mars' twins, Jupiter thinks he can be too soft at times. He's a good son though, and she can't turn down his affection when it's offered. She's glad at least one child has decided his life is going to be on the straight and narrow, because she knows how easy it is to excuse one thing and then another, until you're in a holding cell hoping for leniency.

Deimos (godson): The sharper of Mars' twins, Jupiter has no concerns that he'll be hoodwinked, though she worries he'll be too sharp and too brilliant to notice that he's cut himself. Proud but disapproving of his computer skills, as it reminds her of both Saturn and Cyrus. She suspects he's involved in illegal activities, but doesn't have any proof, and he's too slick and sly to fold to her questioning, so they're at an impasse.

Other

Saturn: Loathes him but tolerates his dropping in for Mars and the twins' sake. Thinks he's an idiot and a fool for chasing ghosts.

Cyrus: She's not sure how she feels about Cyrus yet. On one hand, she believed in him, in his power and his dream - on the other hand, he vanished into thin air and might have lied to them about his ultimate goals. She'll decide when she comes face to face with him again, but seeing as he's MIA, presumed dead, she doesn't think it'll ever be an issue. She's wrong, by the way - he does show up ten years later, with amnesia. By then, it seems kind of pathetic to hate a man who can't even remember what he did, so she's let go of most of her grudge.

One of the Feasts of Jove was held by the Romans on November 13th.
