Orion Adrasteia is Regulus’ significantly younger half-brother, the product of an scandalous affair between Lord Antares and his dark affinity mistress, Verina. At the time of Cynthia's journey, he is the first of the Sinnoh Elite Four, specializing in psychic types.

Most of the House is torn over what to do or think of him: he’s looked down on by a large chunk of the Elders, who do their best to avoid him or have as little contact with him as possible. The remainder are more interested in the possibility of gaining power through his status as second son and Lord Heir rather than in him as a person. He’s rumoured to be one of the subjects of contention that caused Lord Antares to exile his best friend and right-hand man, Sir Altair, and the portion of the House that valued Altair’s wisdom and ability to talk sense into Antares resents him for it. The long and the short of it is that he’s resented for a lot of things that aren’t in his ability to control, and he’s turned rather bitter and resentful towards the whole House as a result.

Instead, he places his worth in his strength in battle. Orion is loyal to Champion Eltan, because he believes that Eltan sees him for his potential and who he is, rather than all the things in his life that he is unable to control. In reality, he’s nothing more than a pawn piece, but a useful pawn piece. Regardless, he’s Eltan’s eyes and ears in House Prometheus, which makes Regulus’ position rather difficult.

Weapon

Eclipse: Eclipse is a one-handed, double edged rapier. Made with a dark coloured metal, the hilt twists down in a crescent shape, like a handle. Orion is exceptionally skilled at swordplay.

Family

Regulus (half-brother): As a child, Orion looked up to his older brother immensely, as a person to turn to when their father inevitably got into one of his more mercurial moods. However, this slowly turned into resentment as he grew up.

Andromeda (sister-in-law): Despite his emnity with his brother, Andromeda is the one subject he avoids - Andromeda was introduced to him as his brother's future wife, and was pretty much his sole vaguely maternal influence in his formative years, despite her young age. As a result, he does his best to hide his plots and schemes from her, although he ultimately fails in this regard.

Antares (father): Orion's relationship with his father is a complicated one: while he does not love his father, he does his best to seek his approval, partially because the habit is ingrained, and part because he acknowledges that the quick and easy way to power is through his father's praise and favour. While no one's really clear on this, Orion did regularly slip poison into his father's tea, which furthered his dementia and disruptive behavior, which eventually led to his death.

Myrtle (lover): Myrtle Dione is the heiress of a wealthy Unovan family, in Sinnoh to invest in the Battle Frontier. She's beautiful and witty and flighty and completely uninterested in the messy politics of her family, which is what drew her to Orion at the beginning. They're not exclusive, and they're on and off at times, but they keep finding themselves drawn to each other. They have a daughter, Caitlin, who neither of them are really interested in.

Caitlin (daughter): He's aware of her existence, but tends not to give her much of his time. He's not interested in her as an individual, but he is very interested in the development of her psychic powers.

Allies

Eltan (boss): With his father's decline, Orion latched onto Eltan as his next guiding figure. Eltan promised power and was his usual charming self; Orion fell for it hook line and sinker.
