Prometheus of Kardomos
This article is about the historical figure. For the Sinnohan House, see the House Prometheus.
The eponymous founder of House Prometheus, he was one of the first to lend his support to Ariston and Calanthe.

Rise to Power

Prometheus was second son to the then Lord of Kardomos. Most of his actual childhood and rise to power is lost to time and has no historical basis, and most historians agree any later stories were likely embellished beyond belief or simply made up. Stories from House Prometheus suggest his father instigated a dispute with the weaving guilds of Kardomos which Promtheus disagreed with, and eventually brought him down with the help of Calanthe and Ariston, and also the help of Amaya, a daughter of one of the guild's most influential leaders, who he fell in love with and married, thus healing the rift between the two factions.

Aristeian Empire

When Ariston and Calanthe unified Sinnoh in 00, he was rewarded for his loyalty with House Prometheus. According to legend, they took particular interest in his marriage with Amaya, interceding on his behalf to smooth over tensions with the guilds of Kardomos.

While Promtheus was officially in charge of trade alongside Ceresia of House Gracidea, it was considered common knowledge that he was also the Empire's spymaster. He remained a close friend and advisor to the Archons for the rest of his life, and was said to have been particularly close with Calanthe.

Aristeian Civil War

Joint Rule of Sinnoh

Ariston preferred the courtroom and the council table to the front line, so he spent most of his time in the region managing laws and hearing demands from his people. He worked most closely with Bia and Kratos of House Themis, hammering out a set of laws that the people of Sinnoh were bound to abide by.

Death and Succession

Death

With the early death of Calanthe, Ariston's health took a downturn, eventually leading to his death in 00. He was buried with his wife, somewhere in the shadow of the mountain. Most historians believe that this location is somewhere near modern-day Celestic Town, but has yet to be found.

Succession

His only son and eldest child, Caedan, succeeded Ariston to the throne of Sinnoh. However, his second child, Cydonia, made a bid for the throne, tearing the region apart in civil war.
