House Themis
"Themis" redirects here. For the historical figure, see Themis (historical figure).
House Themis is one of four Noble Houses of Sinnoh created by the Archons Ariston and Calanthe at their coronation. Bia and Kratos, brother and sister, pledged their loyalty and men to Sinnoh's unification and Ariste's cause. During the Aristeian Empire, House Themis was Archon Ariston's right hand: they were his peacekeepers and lawmakers. They remain influential in modern-day Sinnoh, especially in the judicial and educational sectors. Historically, Themis has been composed of steel and fighting abilities, including the rare aura guardians. They are primarily based in Canalave City, under the guidance of Libra Damask.

Symbols of House Themis

House Themis looks to Dialga, the Lord of Time. Their crest features a stylization of Dialga's breastplate, along with Dike, their sword.

Dike

The emblematic sword of House Themis, Dike features prominently on their shield. The sword is named for a embodiment of justice from another civilization. It is a two-handed double-edged greatsword, with shallow grooves down the blade and the quillons. A dark blue crystal is set into the crossguard, and a similar crystal set as the pommel. The handle is wrapped in an unidentifiable material best compared to white leather, with an intricate hexagonal pattern debossed in gold. In Aristeian legend, Dike was primarily wielded by Bia.

It is one of five Aristeian Relics said to have been created by a blood-oath ceremony of loyalty sworn by Bia, Kratos, and their fellow generals to the House of Ariste, and only one of two such relics whose location is still known. Dike is kept in safety by House Themis, and can be seen or used in ceremonies upon request. Material analysis of the weapon has baffled scientists and researchers alike. In the modern day, Dike stands as a symbol of justice, and is used for the judicial system of Sinnoh.

Eunomia

Eunomia is the lesser known relic of House Themis. Its name means order, and it is the Aristeian Relic said to have been wielded by Kratos. A light blue whip with dark blue crystal pommel and crossguard, it allegedly inflicted burning wounds on its victims. The handle is wrapped in unidentifiable material best compared to white leather, with an intricate hexagonal pattern debossed in gold, identical to its sister, Dike. There are records and photographs of this relic, but it was stolen nearly thirty years ago from House Themis, and was never recovered.
